Home to ancient conflicts, massive displacement, and deep spiritual need, the region can appear defined by instability. Yet it is also home to remarkable innovation, resilient leaders, and growing openness to new ideas.
The reality is both are true.
Home to more than 500 million people, the Greater Middle East sits at the intersection of some of the world’s greatest risks and greatest opportunities. Decades of conflict, political instability, economic uncertainty, and forced migration have left deep challenges. More than 40 million people across the region have been displaced from their homes, and millions continue to live amid ongoing humanitarian need.
Yet beneath the headlines is another story.
Across much of the region, Christians represent less than 5% of the population, and in several countries less than 1%. Millions still live with little meaningful access to a local church, biblical discipleship, or Christian community. At the same time, local leaders and ministry partners are reporting growing spiritual openness, increased engagement with Gospel content, and the emergence of new disciples and churches in places once considered inaccessible.
During the most recent conflict, most westerners we’re shocked to learn that Iran is home to one of the fastest growing churches in the world. The challenge is not a lack of opportunity. It is a lack of resources reaching the leaders best positioned to respond.
Across the region, indigenous ministries are planting churches, discipling believers, equipping leaders, serving vulnerable communities, and creating pathways for long-term flourishing. Yet many remain under-resourced and disconnected from the relationships, funding, and support needed to sustain and multiply their impact.

We are committed to excellence and transparency, which is why we engage independent third-party organizations — including Calvin Edwards & Company, All Access International, and Brightlight Impact — to evaluate our work. Every two years, each fund undergoes an external review made available to prospective donors and partners. This review outlines the fund's theory of change, portfolio analysis, governance, operations, and grantmaking practices. It also reviews investment activity and verifies the accuracy of reporting — ensuring donors can give with confidence and clarity.
