The Problem: Translation Doesn’t Mean Access

Solving Bible Access and Engagement: The Strategy in 3 Minutes

At Babel, languages divided humanity. At Pentecost, the Spirit united the Church. Through unprecedented collaboration, by 2033, every language will have some Scripture translated. But translation alone doesn’t transform lives.

With translation nearly complete, the task is clear: move from access delayed to access delivered, from Bibles translated to Bibles transforming lives.

Access is about having the Bible. Engagement is about living the Bible.

God’s word is not meant to sit on a shelf—it is meant to fill hearts and impact homes.

For centuries, believers relied on smuggling, printing, and underground networks to distribute God’s word. Today, nearly one billion people already have Scripture in their language—yet cannot access it in a usable form. The global Church is expanding rapidly, creating a pressing need for strategy, innovation, and collective impact in Bible access, delivery, and integration.

Barriers that Keep the Bible out of Reach

• Access Limitations- Geographic constraints, supply chain breakdowns or war leave entire regions waiting for years.

• Poverty– Millions cannot afford a Bible, many cannot read. Without audio, video, children’s resources, or oral storytelling, entire populations remain cut off.

• Government Restrictions– In some nations, owning or sharing a Bible can be life-threatening. Believers rely on trusted networks and secure innovation.

The Solution: Access and Engagement

The Solution: Access and Engagement

The global Church is growing fastest where Bibles are hardest to reach. The time to act is now.

The solution is twofold:

Solving Bible Access

Ensures individuals and churches receive Scripture in accessible formats, despite barriers like poverty, illiteracy, government restrictions, or geography. Translation is only the first step—true access requires delivery, security, and contextual fit.

Solving Bible Engagement

Helps people read, listen, study, share, and live the Word. Scripture moves from page to discipleship.

We stand at a unique point in history:

Unprecedented Bible Availability

96.5% of the world now has Scripture in a known language. By 2033, that number will reach nearly 100%. We must ensure these efforts bear fruit — that every translation is accessible to those who need it most.

Unprecedented Church Growth

In 2025, the number of churches surpassed 10 million globally. Nearly 10X growth in this decade alone. The Church is expanding fastest where the Word of God is least available.

Access and engagement have to keep pace with translation.

The Close the Bible Gap (CTBG) Alliance unites six leading ministries and Kingdom investors to ensure Scripture reaches the 1 billion still waiting.

In its first phase, CTBG equipped 17,300 churches, deployed 1.4 million Bibles in the preferred language and format and fueled 1,350 new church plants across Asia and Africa.

By pooling networks, sharing resources, and leveraging decades of trust, the Alliance delivers Scripture and engagement tools to where they are needed most.

The Final Stretch: Closing the Gap from Translation to Bible Access

The Power of Building, Investing and Giving Together

The Solving Bible Access
& Engagement Fund

SWGP Giving Funds unite world-class portfolio management with the Faith Driven content and community you trust—transforming generosity into impact.

God calls us to radical generosity—not obligation, not guilt, but an invitation to the joy-filled adventure. When you’ve been rescued you want to rescue others, this is your moment.

You want to give. You want to find that cause to rally around. But we don’t have the time or tribe to be intentional.

Busy lives don’t leave room to analyze every investment or vet every charity. We’re overwhelmed, pulled in a hundred directions. Deep down, we know there has to be a better way. That’s why we’re building collaborative giving funds—uniting content, community, and tools that make it possible to do more, together.
