The Problem: Not Every
Place Has a Church
Coming Soon
We’ve made historic progress in Bible translation and Gospel access. But access alone was never the finish line. He commanded us to make disciples and establish His Church among every people on earth. Billions still live beyond the reach of a thriving local church.
Entire villages, neighborhoods, and people groups still have no consistent shepherding leadership and community of believers regularly gathering together. The result is fragile movements, isolated believers, and communities without a durable expression of the Body of Christ. And planting a church is only the beginning — without rooted leadership and reproducing systems, even genuine movements can fade within a generation, leaving the same gap behind them.
But the future of missions is changing. It is becoming decentralized and multiplying. Empowered local leaders will drive the next great era of Gospel expansion. And for the first time in history, a church in every village is no longer impossible. It’s mappable. It’s measurable. It’s achievable.
The local church remains the most scalable distribution network for hope in the world. Healthy churches become centers of discipleship, spiritual formation, service, entrepreneurship, reconciliation, and long-term flourishing. They are not simply places people attend. They are Kingdom outposts bringing salt and light into every corner of society.
But this vision will not be accomplished through isolated efforts alone. It will require coordinated movements working together at unprecedented scale. The goal is not simply more decisions. It is a thriving church within reach of every person on earth.
Mapping Hunger
673 million people—8.2% of the world’s population—are undernourished.
Of those, 295 million face acute hunger driven by war, drought, and economic collapse. But 378 million suffer from structural hunger — caused by low agricultural productivity, broken supply chains, and low purchasing power. This SWGP Fund focuses on structural hunger — the systemically solvable portion of the crisis.

BY THE NUMBERS
The Strategic Starting Point: Sub-Saharan Africa
Sub-Saharan Africa is the epicenter, with 173 million people, ~13% of its population, facing structural hunger. Here, the greatest need intersects with the greatest long-term opportunity.
This is our starting point. The solution to Africa’s hunger problem lies within the very soil of the continent itself. Africa holds 60% of the world’s remaining arable land, yet imports $50bn of food annually and only exports 4% of the global food supply – imported food costs more and devalues currencies. The SWGP Hunger Fund exists to strengthen the supply chains within the continent, ensuring every consumer can consume healthy food at affordable prices.
The Solution:3 Million Churches and a Church in Every Village by 2050
For the first time in history, a church in every village is no longer just an aspiration. It’s mappable. It’s measurable. It’s achievable.
Nearly 40% of the world’s population—over 3 billion people—live in unreached places, yet only a fraction of global Christian giving is directed toward reaching them.
Through advances in mapping, collaboration, data, and movement strategy, 27 ministries are working together to identify where the Church exists, where it doesn’t, and where coordinated efforts are needed most. Instead of duplicating efforts or guessing where to plant next, ministries are aligning around a shared map — directing leaders, prayer, and capital toward the fields most ready for harvest.
What once felt impossible can now be pursued with greater clarity, accountability, and scale.
That’s why this fund is built around collaboration, not competition. The Church Planting Movements Fund supports leading organizations that are working together — aligning strategies, sharing intelligence, reducing duplication, and accelerating collective impact across regions and people groups. Instead of fragmented efforts operating independently, this model helps create coordinated movements capable of multiplying churches faster, healthier, and more sustainably.
Because the local church remains the most scalable distribution network for hope in the world. When healthy churches take root, communities change. The Gospel becomes local. Disciples are formed. Leaders emerge. Families strengthen. Compassion expands. Entire villages gain a lasting expression of the Body of Christ capable of serving and transforming future generations.
Every church planted through this fund is built to last — locally led, indigenous, and reproducing. They outlast their planters, raise up their own shepherds, and bear fruit for generations.
This fund aligns best-in-class ministries—reducing redundancy, coordinating strategies across regions, and increasing collective effectiveness.
Through early collaboration, we are already seeing increased efficiency—reducing the cost of planting churches from thousands of dollars to hundreds in emerging regions.

Global Church Mapping
Through deep collaboration and shared intelligence, these organizations are combining data and field insights to build the most comprehensive effort in the history of the global Church. Identified where coordinated action is needed most — creating greater clarity, accountability, and strategic focus. It answers the question every church planter eventually asks: where do we go next?

3 Million Churches and a Church in Every Village by 2050
The long-term vision is to catalyze multiplying churches globally through sustainable, locally led church planting movements. These are not isolated churches, but reproducing networks of churches that plant churches — creating exponential multiplication.
and Efficiency, under
$500 to Start a Church
The Church Planting Movements Fund builds on more than a decade of growing collaboration across the global church planting ecosystem. What began as strategic partnership and shared experimentation has evolved into a coordinated movement focused on accelerating Gospel access and church multiplication worldwide.
Over the past several years, nearly $8-10 million annually has been deployed collaboratively into pilot projects, movement strategies, and shared initiatives designed to increase effectiveness, reduce duplication, and strengthen long-term multiplication efforts.
Today, leading ministries — including e3 Partners, The Timothy Initiative, New Covenant Missions, East-West, and Team Expansion — are working together to accelerate this vision while inviting an expanding coalition of global partners into deeper alignment and collaboration.
The result is a new level of speed, coordination, and efficiency. By sharing strategies, infrastructure, training models, and field intelligence, these movements are increasingly able to operate faster, better, and more cost effectively — in some regions helping catalyze new churches for less than $500 while maintaining a strong focus on leadership and long-term multiplication.
