From artificial intelligence to social media and from work to warfare, technology and its iterations impact all areas of our lives and society.

1 CORINTHIANS 6:12

‘All things are lawful for me,’ but not all things are helpful. ‘All things are lawful for me,’ but I will not be dominated by anything.
By empowering consumer tech companies that serve billions of people, Goodwater hopes to use their God-given influence to have a net-positive impact in the world.
The average American daily screen time is 7 hours and 4 minutes.
And a recent study out of the University of Hong Kong claims that about 6% of the global population can’t take its eyes off the world wide web. When we consider our own lives, we lament just how much of our days are controlled by seven-inch screens. Adults spend an average of 4.5 hours on their smartphones every day. And the scale of the problem is only getting worse. In our own lives and in the lives of our children, we experience the suffocating presence of devices, but we simply don’t know how to respond.

“Changing your relationship with your phone changes your relationship with everyone around you, including yourself,” says Joey Odom, the founder of Aro.

We recognize the ways technology can be helpful, but the pace of change makes this discernment process difficult. Technology will always be with us and we have big dreams about the ways Christians can shape it in a redemptive direction and keep it in its proper place.
