Episode Notes
Eight years ago, Henry Kaestner and Justin Forman started Faith Driven Entrepreneur. It grew into a movement spanning 130+ countries, with over 50,000 people through its courses and events. So this first episode starts where they started: swapping favorite stories from nearly a decade of filming entrepreneurs on almost every continent, like the leather craftsman who built his own casket to proclaim the name of Jesus, and the UK founder who gave up a helicopter commute to build a company creating 600 jobs for people who needed them.
Those stories taught them something that reframed everything: if God owns the business, He owns the fruit too. Build first, then give, because it was never ours to begin with. And that realization runs into a practical wall every giver knows. There are 1.8 million nonprofits and only about 4,000 publicly traded companies. That’s 450 times the choices, with none of the shared diligence investors take for granted. It’s why so much generosity stays scattered, and why Henry and Justin believe the answer looks like going upstream, together.
The episode ends with how to get in the game: eight Giving Funds are live today, and a new foundation course releases every month this fall, starting with Solving Trafficking, then the Evangelism Gap, Structural Hunger, and Bible Translation, which may be the rare chance to help finish a problem in our lifetime.
