Solving Family and Life Fund

Birth rates are falling and cultures are increasingly at risk. Abortion is not the root cause of this trend, but one of its clearest expressions—a symptom of a deeper crisis in how societies value life.

The Strategy in a Nutshell

Q

The Problem

Across the globe, societies are increasingly disconnecting from life, family, and the future, contributing to declining birth rates and rising abortion rates.

R

The Solution

Over $1 billion is spent annually defending the unborn in the United States. 90% goes to last minute decision making windows. By investing upstream in culture, leadership, and local movements, we can strengthen a long-term vision for life and family before crisis intervention is needed.

Read on to find out how.

The Problem
The Future is Disappearing.

GENESIS 1:28

“God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Falling Birth Rates

Across much of the developed world, birth rates have fallen below replacement levels, threatening long-term economic stability and the future of entire nations. At the same time, a culture of radical individualism has increasingly elevated personal autonomy above family and responsibility to future generations.

Abortion is not the cause of this trend—it is one of its clearest symptoms. It reflects a deeper devaluing of life, relationships, and the sacrifices required to build thriving families and communities.

Protecting Life Before Crisis

While important legal victories have been won, the landscape has changed—While $1 billion is spent annually in the United States, some countries literally have nobody deafening the conversation on a political, legal or coordinated response.

The question before us is not simply whether we will continue fighting the last minutes of decision. It is whether we will step onto the field much earlier.

Will we invest in the culture, relationships, communities, and institutions that make life more likely to be chosen in the first place?

The Solution: Protect Sovereignty. Unite Efforts. Reframe the Conversation.

We believe the most effective way to compliment things already being doing and protect life is by showing up earlier.

When developing countries are making legal decisions that reflect their sovereignty and values, free from outside pressure.

When  mothers and families are surrounded by strong communities, churches, businesses and coordinated support, lives are saved and families are strengthened.

The SWGP Life and Family Gap Fund invests upstream—building communities, developing leaders, and shaping cultures where life is valued long before a difficult decision is made.

We are still early, but we anticipate exploring 3 key areas with the potential for lasting impact.

1.

Strengthening Global Sovereignty & Advocacy

Around the world, policies on life and family are increasingly shaped by international pressure, funding structures, and advocacy campaigns. Tragically, even some previous US Administrations made $400 million aid packages to developing African nations contingent on further legalization of abortion.

Strategic legal advocacy, awareness efforts, and policy engagement can have measurable downstream impact — empowering nations to make decisions aligned with their own cultural convictions.

In some cases, small investments — even $100,000 in awareness campaigns, legal advocacy, or coalition-building — can protect national sovereignty on this issue, influencing outcomes that affect thousands of future lives by preventing the legalization of abortion.

2.

Better Coordination in Decisive Moments

The abortion industry in the US is highly coordinated and centralized. Meanwhile, many faith-based life organizations are doing meaningful work, but their efforts are often fragmented and duplicative — competing for the same resources, serving overlapping needs, and missing opportunities to act together in the moments that matter most.

Leaders and coalitions such as Stand for Life have demonstrated the power of coordination across ministries and organizations. What would happen if care networks, data, funding, and response systems were better aligned across the movement?

Could highly leveraged grants reduce redundancy, accelerate care, and equip these organizations to serve families more effectively together than they ever could apart?

3.

Creating Better Support Systems

When a mother faces an impossible decision, it’s rarely because she wants to end a life. Research consistently shows that 75% of women cite the same three reasons: economic insecurity, relational isolation, and the absence of anyone in their corner. The crisis isn’t the decision — it’s everything that came before it.

How do we create stronger cultural support for life, family, marriage, and parenthood earlier in the journey — helping people feel supported instead of isolated? Could Faith Driven Entrepreneurs, churches, and generous families provide tangible help through financial assistance, housing, childcare, mentorship, and community?

What Every Mother’s Advocate has done within adoption advocacy raises a broader question: can we build ecosystems that make choosing life sustainable long-term?

We Define Winning As …

This fund is designed to balance two priorities that are often in tension: measurable outcomes and long-term movement building. We believe this moment requires both. We Measure:

1

Estimated Lives Saved Per Dollar Given:

Some results can be measured directly. By examining population trends, abortion rates, and the impact of policy and cultural shifts over time, we can estimate the number of lives affected by strengthening a nation’s ability to protect life. In some cases, the impact may be remarkable—potentially protecting a life for as little as $10 through efforts that preserve a country’s freedom to determine its own approach to life and family.

2

Cost Compression from Better Coordination

Other outcomes will unfold over years rather than months. These include developing leaders, strengthening organizations, improving coordination, shaping culture, and advancing new ideas that help create lasting change. Ultimately, the vision is simple: to help build a world where families are better supported, communities are more connected, and choosing life becomes more sustainable, hopeful, and attainable.
