Men and women with disabilities face serious health and discrimination challenges globally. What can be done?

Women with disabilities are 2-4x more likely to experience violence.

According to the World Health Organization, 1 out of 6 people experience some sort of significant disability. This accounts for about 16% of the world’s population. Christians face a critical moment of defending the dignity and worth of all people, regardless of their unique needs and the challenges they may face.

We affirm the unique value and contributions people with special needs bring to our families and our world. As Christians, we recognize all people, not some people, are created in the image of their Creator. And we celebrate the unique and significant contributions made to our society by men and women with special needs.
