And here’s the uncomfortable truth: human trafficking isn’t just a humanitarian crisis—it’s a business. As long as it remains profitable, it will continue to grow. For decades, good people have stepped into the fight. They’ve rescued victims and cared for survivors. That work matters. Nearly one billion people are trapped in the darkness of Bible poverty. Out of more than 7,000 languages worldwide, over 3,000 have little or no Scripture—and around 500 people groups don’t have a single verse in a language they best understand.
Without Scripture in the language of their hearts, people are cut off from the foundation of Faith itself. In 2014, Bible translation organizations and a group of visionary partners set aside competition for collaboration, joining forces and pioneering modern collective impact in the church.
