The Power of 3

Build, Invest, Give (BIG): A New Strategy

“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:12)

Building, Investing,
and Giving (BIG).

Ecclesiastes 4:12 is a popular verse shared at weddings. And yet applying the power of 3 cords to our businesses and financial resources strengthens another important relationship—with money.

Too often we think of Building, Investing, and Giving (BIG) as three distinct and separate pursuits. As a result, they become siloed obligations rather than wholly integrated endeavors. It doesn’t have to be this way. We’re supposed to pull from one pocket. That’s because God owns it all. He graciously invites us to experience a more fulfilling understanding of how he wants us to support and invest in the people and world around us.

Rediscover the power of these three transformative tools that God has entrusted to you and how they are meant to work together. It’s all his, and graciously and lovingly, God has invited you to partner with him in building his kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

The Power of 3

Building, Investing, and Giving in Community

According to the United Nations, it will take 100x more than the world’s charitable capital to solve some of the world’s greatest problems. But what about our investing?

If we truly believe that God owns it all, we can stop siloing our contributions into different categories and start multiplying the impact we have on the marketplace and the world.

We will see that money is a tool that we can use as a way to bring glory to God and good to others.

This is the one-pocket framework. It is more than an investment strategy. It’s this idea that our giving, investing, and spending all is God’s and comes from the same place. This Kingdom-driven mindset guides the whole picture of how every resource entrusted to us should be stewarded, including time, access, and space.
